On behalf of the Panhellenic Executive Board and our sixteen chapters, I would like to welcome you to the Panhellenic Association at Florida State University!
Greek Life is a deep-rooted tradition at Florida State with over 100 years of history. Today, our community is dynamically growing. The four councils that make up Greek Life at FSU are the National Panhellenic Conference, Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Multi-Cultural Greek Council. Each offers the opportunity for personal growth and development, as well as friendship that will last a lifetime. All members of the Greek community strive for a high level of excellence through academic enrichment and community service.
Being a part of a sorority means being part of something that is much bigger than you. As an organization we are proud to hold each other accountable to ensure integrity. The Panhellenic Association has given over 3,000 women their home away from home, making us the largest women’s organization on campus. Although each individual sorority holds a personal set of ideals and beliefs, all NPC sororities value the four pillars of leadership, service, scholarship, and sisterhood. Every Panhellenic woman strives to uphold these values on a daily basis, which brings us together as a community.
The Panhellenic Association and the women in our council play an influential role on campus, in the community, and in the greater Tallahassee area. The Panhellenic Association is dedicated to bettering the community, and making a difference. Not only do we show support by participating in one another’s philanthropic events, we also give our time to organizations outside of Greek life. We have leaders in Student Government Association, Student Alumni Association, Student Boosters, Student Conduct Board, and many other organizations. We actively participate in Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, Light the Night, and with the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend.
On a personal level, going Greek was the best decision I have made! Panhellenic provides numerous opportunities for the Florida State student. We strive to better the community through leadership and service while challenging each other with academics. But, the most unique opportunity we have to offer is sisterhood. Being in a sorority truly helps you find a place where you belong, which is difficult on a campus of over 40,000 students. During your four years at Florida State, Panhellenic will give you the chance to develop deep friendships with your sorority sisters. This is an unexplainable experience that will carry on a lifetime!
Thank you for your interest in our community! I hope the resources listed on our website provides you with answers to your questions and keeps you informed and updated on campus events.
